Year 2 Term 3 January 2012
We have been busy in Year 2 learning lots of new skills. In English, we have been looking at biographies and learning all about how to write about famous people. This has linked in with our topic work for this term and we even had the opportunity to interview someone who looked a lot like J.K. Rowling via Skype! Our art work has also had a focus on famous people and we have had lots of fun creating papier mache heads of our heroes and superstars!
Our science focus has been on forces this term and we have started to investigate how to make things start, stop, speed up, change direction and even change shape. We have been discussing the importance of conducting fair tests and experiments and also writing about our findings and results.
Lots of fun, but lots more excitement to come…

| Year 2 Trip on a tram
The Year 2 children had a great time touring Prague on a tram on Wednesday 12th October. In topic the children have been looking at Prague as a holiday destination and have been thinking about why tourists like to visit the city. While travelling on the tram, the children had fun spotting all the different attractions such as the Charles Bridge, the Dancing House, Prague castle, the metronome at the top of Letna Park, Wenceslas square and much more. Despite the rain the children had a wonderful time.
