Parent and Toddler Group

The Parent & Toddler Group at Park Lane International School offers a warm and welcoming environment where children under 2.5 years can explore, play, and begin building confidence alongside their peers. Held at our Norbertov campus, each 90-minute session is led by experienced early years specialists and includes a rich variety of sensory exploration, creative activities, songs, stories, and play-based learning designed to support children’s social, emotional, and language development. The programme provides a wonderful introduction to nursery life, helping to create a smooth transition into school while giving parents and carers the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and enjoy light refreshments as part of our friendly international community. Whether your child is taking their first steps towards independence or simply looking for new opportunities to learn through play, our Parent & Toddler Group offers the perfect setting to support these important early milestones.

Our Approach & Benefits

Our curriculum for children aged 18–30 months is based on the key areas of the English Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. It is designed to support your child’s early development and build confidence before they begin formal schooling, while providing a supportive community for parents and carers.
English language is not essential. We welcome all children and families. We aim to support individual needs wherever possible and work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure every child can fully access and enjoy the sessions.
Please note that parents and carers remain fully responsible for their children at all times during the session, allowing you to enjoy dedicated, distraction-free quality bonding time with your little one.

Our primary focus aligns closely with the EYFS framework:

  • Communication and Language: We guide children from non-verbal expression towards spoken words through our circle time, storytelling, and interactive singing.
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED): We nurture early friendships and social skills by encouraging toddlers to share, cooperate, and play alongside peers in a small, secure group.
  • Physical Development: Fine motor skills are boosted through hands-on arts, crafts, and messy play, while gross motor skills are developed through dance and movement.
  • Understanding the World & Expressive Arts: Open-ended exploration stations like small world, construction, and role play naturally spark imagination and seasonal curiosity.

What to bring

  • A change of clothes for your child
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for play and messy activities
  • A water bottle for your child
  • Any comfort items if needed (e.g. dummy or blanket)
  • Nappies, wipes etc for toileting
