Simon Trevor

Head of Year 11, and Teacher of History

In 2013 I completed my PGCE in secondary history at the University of Chester. Following that I took up a teaching position in Bedfordshire in the south of England where I also worked as Head of Year. After teaching in the UK, I decided to expand my horizons and made the move to Myanmar in 2018 to teach in a British school. At the school in Yangon I was responsible for establishing a new history department and enjoyed my role there immensely. It was also a pleasure to immerse myself in the history of the country as well as the region, and I cannot wait to replicate this experience here in Prague and the Czech Republic. In my classroom I constantly strive to give students a historical understanding which allows them to feel connected to others and the world around them. I believe history should also be rewarding, enjoyable and provide students with the skills to communicate effectively.

Outside of school I enjoy and partake in many hobbies and activities. I am an avid kite- surfer and hiker. I am very excited to be in here in Prague, with its rich history and culture, and am very much looking forward to working at a school with such an outstanding reputation.
