On Friday, 23rd January 2026, Park Lane alumna Malvína B. presented the vernissage of her bachelor’s degree project Come Closer in an apartment gallery in Újezd, @vitezna15, transforming the historic space into a powerful contemporary art setting. The exhibition introduced a multimedia installation that combines painting, projection and audio elements, inviting visitors to reflect on vulnerability, visibility and lived experience.
Moving between still-life painting and animated visuals, Malvína’s work explores perception, vulnerability and human experience. The audio layer, built from interview fragments, rerecorded and layered, invites viewers to slow down and engage more closely with the work on an emotional level.
The opening was attended by friends, former classmates, Art and Design teachers and members of the wider Park Lane community, including Whole School Principal Paul Ingarfield. The atmosphere was both supportive and reflective, underscoring the significance of seeing a graduate confidently present deeply personal work in a professional context.
The evening was a meaningful reminder that Park Lane is proud of its alumni and values the opportunity to witness and support their continuing creative and personal journeys beyond school.
