Fasching is a lively German carnival celebrated every year to say goodbye to winter and welcome the spring. Often called the “Fifth Season,” it is a time for colourful costumes, parades, and fun traditions before the period of Lent begins.
Just before the break we celebrated the Fasching carnival. The atmosphere was beautiful with colourful decorations that the teachers and some pupils made. The schedule was well organised and the activities were really fun, starting with a word search and colouring. In the dining hall, we could try some traditional foods that people eat during the carnival. Last, but definitely not least, we danced a traditional dance. I enjoyed it a lot.

Last Thursday, before the break we enjoyed the Fasching festival full of dance and laughter. Our students and MFL department dressed up and danced the Belgian dance along with some traditional German food – enjoying the whole amazing atmosphere of the Fasching festival.
