On April 28th, our Year 9 and Year 10 students spent the day meeting professionals from different fields including entrepreneurship, diplomacy, sport, science, medicine, design, and law enforcement. Students left motivated, reflective, and in many cases, thinking about their futures in a completely new way.

A few themes stood out across almost every session:

  • Curiosity, hard work, and communication matter in every career.
  • It’s okay not to have everything figured out yet.
  • Small, consistent actions now shape where you end up.

Here is what some of our students had to say:

It made me realise I have to work for the things I want, instead of waiting for them.

— Year 9 student

It opened my mind — I used to think maths was a very closed career path, but I realised I was completely wrong.

— Year 10 student

It showed me that it’s okay to not know exactly what you want — and that it’s okay to change.

— Year 9 student

“Wake up! You have dreams to chase, not dreams to dream.”

— The most remembered quote of the day

We’re proud of how engaged and thoughtful our students were. If your child came home talking about a new career idea, we’d love to hear about it!
