As part of their history studies into the Holocaust and the Second World War, Year 9 students made a trip to the memorial sites of Lidice and Terezín on Monday. The visits provided students with a deeper understanding of the actions of the Nazi government in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and the crimes of the Holocaust. Students were given guided tours at both sites, and they conducted themselves with great maturity and showed a real interest in the subject, despite the serious and sombre nature of the visit. As part of their studies, the students will follow up the visit with learning activities in class.
