Our Year 10 and Year 12 Music Department students took part in an inspiring Media Academy course at Radiohouse, the home of Fajn Radio, Hit Radio, Rock Radio, and Blaník.
Throughout the day, students learned about how the media works, its benefits, its influence, and also the potential risks that come with it. They explored different studios, met professionals, and gained a real behind-the-scenes experience of radio broadcasting.
A special highlight came when Laura M. and Stella S. were invited to take part in a live broadcast – an unforgettable moment that gave them a taste of real on-air work.
The cherry on top of the day was recording an audio invitation for the upcoming Winter Market on Saturday, 13 December, featuring performances by the Music Department, the class bands, and the school’s rock bands. In true creative fashion, the rehearsal for an a cappella Christmas jingle took place in the lift, much to the amusement of the sound engineer.
So when you hear the radio jingle on our school Instagram, you’ll know it was created during our exciting trip to Radiohouse!
