Chloe McSweeney

Teacher of English

From a young age I have been a book-worm and knew I wanted to be an English teacher ever since I started secondary school. After studying in Sheffield and Leeds, I taught in the UK and most recently in Bangkok where I lived and worked for 8 years.

Part of the reason I worked at my school for such a long time was due to the family-feel the school had cultivated and the ethos of developing students holistically. This is something I see reflected in the values at Park Lane and I feel very excited to be part of another school which ‘centres’ students in this way. I love teaching English and opening students’ minds to new worlds and ideas via literature, alongside empowering young people to express themselves.

When I am not teaching, I love to spend my time hiking in nature, travelling, dancing, doing yoga, and discovering new restaurants. I feel very fortunate that Prague is such a beautiful city that readily offers all of these experiences on the doorstep.
