Emerald Call

Year 2L Teaching Partner

Before coming to work at Park Lane in 2015, I had just moved to the Czech Republic after studying in California, USA. I was born in the United States to multi-national parents. I am a dual citizen of Germany and the United States, and my husband and I wanted to take on the great journey to live in the EU. Prague was a natural choice due to it’s beauty and the wonderful experiences I have had of the city in the past.
My father, who also happens to be a writer of storybooks for children, has lived in Prague for more than 20 years. I lived here as a child and attended an International school very much like Park Lane in my formative years. I moved around a lot with my parents when I was young, which I feel gives me a unique perspective into the experiences many of the children at Park Lane have and can relate to. Having the opportunity to work at Park Lane has been a fantastic part of my life already. The children and parents have been very welcoming!
I worked my way through school in the service industry and hold degrees in Physical Anthropology and Business. I am now looking forward to going back to University to pursue an Education degree. I am excited to be a part of the Park Lane team and see the bright future of our pupils unfold .
Prior to coming here, I also worked as a manager for two large chains of bookstores. My love of books fuels my passion for education and learning and is a major part of my life. My hobbies include reading, biking, travelling, video editing and technology, animal advocacy (we have three adopted dogs, one that we recently brought home from India!), and dancing quite terribly
