To mark Remembrance Day, Children, Pupils and Students of Park Lane took part in a poignant service at the Commonwealth War Memorial in Olšany Cemetery on Sunday 9th November. Despite the wet weather, the group showed great respect and reflection as we gathered to honour those who sacrificed their lives during the Second World War.

During the service, our children and teenagers placed poppies in front of the headstones, reading aloud the names of those laid to rest. The School laid a wreath alongside other members of the international community at the memorial site. It was a moving and meaningful experience that encouraged the children/ young people to think about the importance of remembrance, gratitude, and peace.

Special thanks go to the organisers of the service and to the Park Lane teachers and pupils who attended: Miša and Ryan Manton with Elliot and Killian, Dawn Warby with Amar, Tina Chapman with Archie, Kim Holmes with Noah and Taylor, Andrea Corongiu & Nuria Roso with Mia, Emma and Dan Emerich with Zander, Paul Churchill with Thomas as well as Debbie Burgess, Joe Eyles, Paul &  Ginny Ingarfield and Hannah Marquardt who joined us in honouring this important occasion.
