The Business and Economics Forum is a dynamic club designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and those interested in business and economics. Founded and run by students, it offers members the chance to take ownership of the club’s development and activities. It is run by KS5 students, Milan Š. and Laura J.

The club currently focuses on three main activities:

  • Hosting guest speakers from the business world
  • Participating in competitions
  • Partnering with a venture capital firm to provide hands-on exposure to the startup ecosystem

Universities, as hubs of innovation, serve as perfect environments for nurturing ideas, and these activities help members gain valuable insights into building successful companies.

Here are some of the events and activities the club has already organised:

  • Wharton Global Investment Competition (UPenn): Our team is actively competing in this prestigious competition, which runs from September to December.
  • Guest Speaker Session with Ms. Benner from the World Bank
  • A session with Tomáš Čupr: The founder of Rohlik.cz, the leading grocery delivery company in the Czech Republic, visited the Úvoz IB Centre on November 27.
  • Economic Olympiad: This event took place at the end of November.
  • Round Table with Presto Ventures: Focused on career self-development and the startup world.

These activities have provided invaluable learning experiences for our members, further enhancing their understanding of the business world.
