As part of our ongoing Future Jobs, Today’s Adventures initiative at Park Lane International School, our Year 4 pupils had the exciting opportunity to visit a live construction site and a newly completed apartment building.

The aim of the visit was to help our pupils understand what goes into building a structure from the ground up – from demolition and planning to the final touches. It was a truly inspiring and eye-opening experience for all involved.

Pupils were thrilled to walk around an active construction site, guided safely by professionals. One of the most memorable moments was getting up close to heavy machinery, including a massive digger in action. Even more exciting – our pupils were invited to sit inside the machine itself, an unforgettable experience that sparked many curious questions and wide smiles.

To round off the day, the children took part in a creative “Dream Home” painting challenge. With limited time, they gave it their all, producing a wonderful array of imaginative and colourful artworks. The paintings will be taken to the PSN offices, where employees will select the top three. These winning pieces will then be proudly displayed in the foyer of the new building once construction is complete.

It was a fantastic day of learning, creativity, and real-world exploration. We are incredibly grateful to Maximilian Skala and the PSN team for their generosity and for helping to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and visionaries.

Park Lane Year 4 students took learning beyond the classroom with a hands-on visit to a live construction site. A day full of big machines, big smiles, and big dreams!
