We wrapped up September in the best possible way! On Monday, September 30th, students, parents, and staff gathered for our annual Park Lane Mile. While blue skies and a fantastic venue set the stage, the real highlight was the incredible community spirit with energetic runners taking on the course and loud cheers ringing out from the sidelines all afternoon.
This year’s event was extra special as Secondary students joined in for the very first time. Watching Secondary students cheer on Primary runners, while Primary turned out to support the Early Years, perfectly captured what the afternoon was all about.
An event of this scale takes a village. A huge thank you goes to our dedicated PE Department for their flawless planning, passion, and energy. We are equally grateful to our teachers, teaching partners, drivers, canteen staff, admin team, and school nurse—many of whom were on-site from 7:30 AM or showed up despite feeling under the weather just to support the children.
Every single runner who crossed the finish line should be immensely proud. A special shout-out goes to our year-group champions:
-
Year 7 Champions: Karolina & Hugo
-
Year 8 Champions: Oliver & Adina
-
Year 9 Champions: Manolo & Amelia
Our winners have officially been invited to represent the school at the upcoming Cross-Country event on October 10th. We wish them the best of luck!
