Secondary School and IB Diploma Centre (Year 11-18), Prague 1
Our Prague 1 campus comprises of three school sites, all within a few minutes of each other in the historic district of Malá Strana and extremely close to Malostranská metro station (Line A – Green) while trams 8, 12, 18, 20 and 22 all stop a minute or two from the school sites. Park Lane’s Valdštejnská site, which accommodates Years 6 to 9 (students aged 10 to 14), consists of a palatial building surrounded by its own walled gardens and terraces. Situated directly beneath the lower walls of Prague Castle, our Valdštejnská building – which was used as an embassy for several decades – is in exemplary condition having undergone a full refurbishment in 2013.
Catering for students aged 14-16 and Park Lane’s centre for Cambridge IGCSE courses, the Klárov branch of the Prague 1 campus consists of numerous fully equipped classrooms, including four state-of-the-art science laboratories. A short walk from the Valdštejnská site, the Klárov branch is very close to the Metro station and tram stops.
Úvoz Site – IB diploma Centre
The Úvoz site located in a beautiful location near the Prague Castle enables the IB Diploma Programme to be accommodated in a modern educational environment for both our students and teachers.
The interior of this former convent school building has been adjusted precisely to has been adjusted precisely to Park Lane students’ and staff needs. The IB centre (for 16-19-years-olds) has 18 classrooms including 4 newly equipped science labs and a performing arts studio. Students are also able to make a great use of a library situated on two interconnected floors with an adjacent study room plus a large common room with terrace , café, incl. school club with terrace, café, incl. sound system for workshops, assemblies and performances. There is a spacious staffroom for teachers and offices for management and administration personnel.
The school garden at the rear of the building serves as an outdoor learning space or a place to relax.
The latest addition to the Prague 1 campus is the Pohádka arts centre and café. All art lessons, including the IGCSE and IB Diploma courses, are taught here in three well-equipped art studios.
Students, teachers and parents have exclusive access to the ground floor café, which opened in November 2019.
