Year 5 pupils began an exciting art project inspired by Aztec Cacao & Nature. Using the Biodiversity Room with a range of natural materials, plants and flora, the pupils are exploring the idea of an ancient stone wall hidden within a humid rainforest temple, imagining the stories it has witnessed over hundreds of years. They will be sketching, painting and creating with natural materials, while also exploring botanical art and self-expression through a Frida Kahlo-inspired activity. The pupils will also have the opportunity to write their own short poems from the perspective of the ancient temple wall, bringing their creativity and imagination to life.
