Djorf Amirouche

Teacher of Science and Biology

Born to an Algerian father and American mother, I was raised across the Mediterranean becoming multilingual and intercultural. This transient upbringing endowed a deep empathy that informs my teaching. I studied molecular biology at the University of Colorado Boulder while also training extensively in theater arts.

After beginning my career in the film industry at a talent and literary agency, I transitioned to teaching – my second calling. My time at international schools in North America, Asia, Africa and Europe honed pedagogical skills I will eagerly impart at Park Lane.

Beyond the classroom, I pursue filmmaking, tennis, and biology, favouring an interdisciplinary approach to understand life’s complexities. My global background has cemented my appreciation for our shared humanity and I aim to instill this cross-cultural outlook in students.
