Emma Vass works as a Year 5 Teacher at Park Lane

Emma Vass

Year 5 Class Teacher

I am originally from Glasgow, United Kingdom, and hold a First-Class Honours degree in Art from the University of the Arts London. Following my graduation, I had the opportunity to work in the Netherlands, where I designed store interiors for a major fashion and lifestyle brand.

My teaching career began in Seoul, South Korea, where I taught English as an Additional Language to children in Years 3 to 6. Witnessing my students’ growth in both confidence and academic ability reinforced my passion for education and inspired me to study a PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Glasgow, allowing me to further develop and refine my teaching pedagogy.

Since then, I have taught in the UK, Japan, and most recently, Mexico. I greatly value the importance of culturally diverse learning environments and enjoy integrating the best practices I have observed in different countries into my own teaching practice. I am delighted to be joining Park Lane International School and am very much looking forward to working with the children in Year 5.

Beyond the classroom, I am passionate about cooking, pilates, and cinema. I am looking forward to exploring the Czech Republic and learning more about the culture of this wonderful country.
