Matthew Sandiford

Teacher of Global Perspectives, Global Politics and TOK

After completing the CELTA English language teaching qualification in 2008, I moved to South Korea to teach at a private education academy, where I worked with students aged from eight to eighteen years. On my return to the UK, I studied for a postgraduate teaching qualification, specializing in Government &x;x; Politics, while continuing to teach English in the private sector. I have lived in Czech Republic since January 2013, initially working in Brno where I taught English in industry.
I began work at Park Lane in August 2013, and spent two years as a Teaching Assistant with the Primary department, before taking on the role of EAL teacher across both Primary and Secondary schools. I have a passion for teaching and learning, and particularly enjoy seeing students begin to use a new language concept. In my spare time I enjoy running, rock climbing and studying Czech.
