After graduating from Leeds Beckett University in 2018 with a BA in Fine Art, I pursued my teaching career through a PGCE at Newcastle University, where I discovered the fulfilment of inspiring young people through art and design.
Over the past five years, I have taught Art, Photography, and Design Technology across Key Stages 3 to 5, developing a broad and adaptable teaching practice that supports students in both their creative and academic growth. Alongside classroom teaching, I served as Assistant Head of Sixth Form (i.e. Key Stage 5) for two years, where I gained valuable experience in pastoral care, academic guidance, and supporting students in their transition to higher education and employment.
My teaching is driven by a genuine passion for the arts and a belief in their power to foster creativity, critical thinking, confidence and self-expression. Beyond the classroom, I continue to practise as an artist, specialising in illustrative prints. I also enjoy reading, traveling and, of course, watching Newcastle United play.
I am overjoyed to be joining the Park Lane team, this is my first international school experience and what better place to begin the journey!
