I graduated from Carleton University with a degree in Criminology, focusing on Sociology with a minor in Psychology. My studies provided me with a strong understanding of people and culture, which has been invaluable in my teaching career.
I began teaching English in Japan, where I spent seven years working with students at junior and senior high levels. This experience gave me
the opportunity to develop as an educator while immersing myself in a new culture. After Japan, I moved to Thailand, where I continued my journey with nursery and kindergarten students. Working with such young learners taught me creativity, patience, and the importance of making lessons both engaging and meaningful.
Living and teaching abroad has shaped my approach in the classroom; giving me a sense of adventure as well as a deeper appreciation for how language can connect people across cultures. I strive to bring this perspective to each lesson, adapting my teaching to the needs of my students.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading and cooking, and I spend my free time exploring new towns, joining local cultural events, or traveling to new places. I look forward to continuing my teaching journey in Prague and to discovering all the opportunities the city has to offer.
