Vanessa Ruault works as a French Teacher at Park Lane International School

Vanessa Ruault

Teacher of French & HoY

I studied Languages in France before completing my PGCE in the UK. I started my career in  two comprehensive state schools in London, where I gained valuable experience supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds.

My international career began in Malaysia, followed by Rome, and for the past five years I have been proud to call Prague my home. At each stage of my journey, I have learnt as much from my students as they have from me, and I am passionate about creating classrooms where students feel empowered and confident.

Languages have always been at the heart of my life and career, and I am passionate about opening doors for students by helping them to connect with new cultures and perspectives through language learning.

Beyond lessons, I enjoy supporting ‘student voice’ and charity projects, as I love giving young people the chance to discover new passions and make a difference. I also believe that co-curricular activities play a vital role in education, and I especially enjoy encouraging students through the Duke of Edinburgh programme, where they challenge themselves, grow as leaders, and shine outside the classroom.

Outside of school, I enjoy both the culture Prague has to offer and the outdoors. I love training for triathlons, tackling CrossFit workouts, or heading into the countryside for a hike, as much as I enjoy exploring the city’s rich cultural life.
