A big thank you to all the parents, staff and students who turned out to watch the DofE students from 2021 present the aims of their adventurous journey.
As part of their Gold, Silver or Bronze award students work towards a goal in a physical, volunteering and skill activity over a long period of time. All awards also involve a challenging adventurous journey where students plan and navigate a route in groups. They must be completely self-sufficient for the 2,3 or 4 days depending on the award and work towards an aim.
This year ‘s students impressed us with their unique and creative take on their aim. Aims ranged from making a playlist to characterise their journey to creating a Vlog of their expedition.
Some groups created poems and or short stories that reflected their feelings along the journey, another created a herbarium and one even composed and recorded a song of their trip.
