All the EYFS children at Nessie and Sibeliova have had a super start to school.
In Reception children started working on the topic Me and my family. The children will have discussions about themselves and their families, will draw their self-portraits for the class display board outside the classroom. This will be used as an activity to track the children’s drawing skills over the school year.
In Nursery children begin to settle and feel safe in their new environment and explore the classroom with much more purpose. Nursery words for the week will be ‘saying hello and goodbye’ and their special action will be waving towards each other and the grown ups. The children will also be learning about different animal names and the sounds they make.
Let the learning and fun begin!
