On Monday, three Park Lane Maths teams headed to ISP (along with three teams from Riverside School) for a Maths Derby. The competition room was abuzz with 36 of the top Mathematicians across Prague, battling it out with 3 hours of intense problems.
For the individual rounds the students were split into Seniors (Y12 and Y13) and Intermediates (Y10 and Y11). Pascal and Winston dominated the Intermediates, picking up 1st and 2nd place for Park Lane. Sanda medalled for the Seniors by scoring a third place.
For the whole event, our KS4 team (Dowson, Damian, Winston and Pascal) came 2nd. What a superb achievement!! A special mention must go to Sanjay and Igor (Y12) who competed in this event after a full-on 4 days at PBISMUN.
For most of these students, they are soon to sit their Maths IGCSE / Additional Maths IGCSE or Higher Level Maths IB. Best of luck.
