Local police officers visited our Norbertov campus last week in April to teach the children about staying safe. The younger children learned about road safety and emergency numbers, while the older students focused on more serious topics like bullying and how to stay safe online. Since the officers wanted to make sure everyone understood, an interpreter helped translate everything into a language the children could easily follow.
The best part of the day was when the officers brought a marked police car to Sibeliova Early Years. The children got to look inside the vehicle and see all the cool gear. Two officers wore different uniforms to show the different jobs they do, and they spent time talking to the children about how the police help the community. It was a fun and simple way for the students to learn how to be careful and who to ask for help.
