On Friday 29 May 2026, the EYFS and Key Stage 1 sports day was a huge success! For me as a house captain, I loved seeing the younger year groups show fantastic teamwork in games and races. They worked in their houses and competed in sprints and relay races and practiced athletic skills such as throwing, jumping and running. I enjoyed seeing how all of them were competitive and supportive with each other. Even though the tiny tots didn’t compete in races to earn house points for their team, they enjoyed the day with Mrs. Lucie and the two of us house captains playing simple games and dancing to music. I was surprised to see even the nursery run, and understand the relay races. After all their hard work, everybody received their well deserved lunch and an awesome disco including a small buffet for the parents. The score turned out very close so the relays of the nursery decided the whole house event. For me this turned out to be a great experience.

On Friday 29th of May, Key Stage 1 and the tiny tots had an incredible sports day and it was a huge success! While the House Captain, Mrs Lucie and Mr Joe helped to set up, two of the house captains went to help the tiny tots. As a house captain, I really enjoyed looking at Key Stage 1 improving their running, jumping and throwing skills, such as the relay that they had after the disco and some delicious lunch. The relay was awesome; even the nursery didn’t give up, they also did the sprint. I could see that even though they were last, everybody had a smile on their face. For me, this was a great opportunity and responsibility while having fun.

EYFS and Key Stage 1 children took part in Sports Day. Exceeding their limits to win, they took part in eight fun activities and two competitive races; relay and sprints. Fantastically and enthusiastically, without giving up they competed for their houses as a whole and showed great resilience and respect to all.
