Unbelievable! Our handball team achieved third place in the Handball tournament of Věra Čáslavská Cup!
Park Lane has no handball but has courage and a heart! Y5 and Y6 children were determined, worked hard and left everything on the court. They were improving match by match. Everyone was able to transfer their skills “pass and move” from Benchball to the Handball game and proved to have excellent ball skills.
They were extremely good in marking the players and didn’t give many chances to their opponents to pass a ball to each other. The team was built around Denis who is a handball player and along with Maty and Demid lead the team ahead. Our goalkeepers were very strong too. Well done to William, Oli, Patrik and Manolo. I was so impressed by all the boys picking up the rules so quickly! Handball is a very tough sport but we made it and beat some very strong Primary sport schools in Prague 6. The team didn’t make it to the final by one goal but what they achieved was amazing! A fantastic result!
