125 boys and girls from the ages of 2 – 7 from the Pre Nursery, Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 from our Infant School sites at Prague 5, Nessie, Prague 6, Sibeliova and Prague 6, Norbertov joined together for a day of fun physical development games and competitive athletic activities on Friday 7 June 2024.
Although the ground condition at Mrázovka Sports was a little wet after Thursday’s overnight storms, this did not deter or discourage the children, their Parents and Carers and the 25 Infant school staff to have a fun-filled and action packed day. Traditional sack racing, egg and spoon racing, javelin throwing and bench bunny jumping were just four of the eight physical development carousel activities completed in the morning’s events.
After a BBQ hot dog lunch and open air disco the four colour house groups, with their new banners, assembled for the competitive flat sprints and shuttle relays. Children in Air, Water, Fire and Earth ran as fast as they could over 20 – 50 metres to gain house points for their colour house groups and win a hand made large placement sticker. Every girl and boy left the sports day with at least two stickers to show if they were 4th, 3rd, 2nd or 1st in their flat sprint race. Well done to everyone.
Finally, huge thanks to all the support staff, admin staff and academic staff for helping me plan, prepare and deliver such a successful Infant School Sports Day. Thank you to the Parents, Carers and family friends for coming to support the Infant School Sports Day 2024 event too.
