At Nessie we love exploring our Garden and Nature Nook no matter what the weather. The children are encouraged to be outside whenever we can as long as we all have suitable clothing.
The outdoor environment is a wonderful place to learn about our natural world. The children have particularly enjoyed investigating the trees, both picking fruit and climbing on these in the nature nooke. It is also a time for us to look at bugs and other living things such as plants, learning how to care for them.
The outdoor environment also encourages children to develop their gross motor skills riding bikes, climbing on the climbing frame, stacking and moving crates not to mention digging in the sand.
