Another sport we really enjoy at Park Lane? Football! Whether it’s during playtimes, in conversations or in PE, football is always on our minds 🙂
Last term, some of our footballers were selected to join one of the two Park Lane teams that competed in the popular McDonald’s Cup which is a major football tournament and the biggest of its kind in the Czech Republic. Each year, thousands of pupils take part, representing over 2,300 school teams from across the country. Mr Pawel, our brilliant football coach, helped the pupils prepare and offered fantastic guidance throughout the matches. His insights made a real difference on the pitch.

The younger team, pupils from Years 3 and 4, played on Monday and improved with every match, proudly securing second place in their group! Congratulations, and a huge thank you to Mr Andrea for accompanying and supporting the team.
The older team faced some tough competition, with strong teams and very talented players. They finished third in their group. It was especially rewarding to see the progress they made, particularly in the final match, where they followed the coach’s strategy and played with confidence and teamwork. Congratulations to them as well!

We’re now continuing to build our football skills in PE and are excited to be planning some more matches in the future. A big thank you to all the parents for your support!

Park Lane teams impressed at the McDonald’s Cup, with great performances, teamwork, and coaching support. A proud moment for our young footballers!
