I am an active professional musician and music tutor from the westfjords of the city Stavanger, Norway. I studied both my BA and MMus in Jazz and Creative Musician at Leeds Conservatory in the UK. Up til now I have toured Europe, UK, Scandinavia and Iceland with several different bands in different genres. I am also an active composer, composing music for Film/TV, commercials and video games.
I became passionate about teaching music when I first saw what impact it had on my students. Music plays such an important part in everyone’s life, and being able to give them knowledge about the history, reflecting on what music means for them and having open minded discussion after active listening to all different kind music is really rewarding.
