A Prague girl through and through: I’ve been away, but now I’m back. After completing training as a laboratory technician in the late 80s, I worked in various science labs testing environmental standards. Life took me in a different direction and I discovered a love of the English language. It all started as an au pair job in London and then I found myself jetting off to New Zealand to be with a lovely Englishman who soon after became my husband.
Together we lived in New Zealand, England and the Czech Republic at various times before finally settling here in my home city after being away for 15 years. I’ve since retrained as an English teacher and am proud to say I’ve taught students ranging in age from three to ninety three! I am so delighted to be working at Park Lane as a Learning support assistant and look with excited eye towards the future and what it will bring.
