Originally from Norfolk, UK, I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature. After deciding that I wanted to pursue a career in teaching, I completed my PGCE at the University of Manchester.
After qualifying as a teacher, I remained in Manchester to teach for four years before deciding that I would like to work in an international school setting. I moved to Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2019 and was Head of Year
for both Year 2 and Year 1 for three years. I absolutely loved the challenge of working in a large international school, however I missed being close to family and was thrilled when I applied and was offered a position at Park Lane.
I am so excited to be joining Park Lane in the Year 1 team and am very much looking forward to working with the children and the families of the school. I ensure that my classroom is a happy, fun and enriching environment where children are not afraid to take risks in their learning.
In my spare time, I love to travel whenever I can and experience different cultures and traditions around the world. I also love picking up a new book and finding a relaxing spot in a park or café to get stuck into it.
