On the Wednesday before the Easter break, Dr. Robert Kollár PhD., a translator and poetry scholar who works at the Institute for Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, visited the Úvoz campus. Dr. Kollár deals primarily with the theory of verse and presented to our students modern platforms that can be used for studying the poetry of the 19th and 20th centuries, and illuminated to us the problem of distinguishing types of verse and rhyme. After the lesson, all students were able to recognize a dactyl, trochee, or iambic and even create them.
