On Wednesday, December 20th, the Czech language teachers of Y8, Y9, and Y10 gave their students a special Christmas present in the form of a Slam Poetry performance. Three successful slammers named Anatol S., Krála, and Empathic created an astonishing show!
They shared their inspiring poems, entertained the students, made them think, and showed them what modern Czech poetry can look like. The Slam Poetry performance was interactive, and the students acted as judges, awarding points to each slammer and selecting the winner.
For instance, the Y8 students appreciated Empathic and his deeper topics relating to the human soul. On the other hand, Y9 students applauded Anatol S. for his improvisation on selected words.
We thank the performers and look forward to discovering some great talents among our students at Park Lane!
