On Wednesday 14th December our KS3 students took part in a STEAM-themed cross-curricular day ‘Forensic Frenzy’. Using the fictitious murder of Mr. Gibbins as an excuse, Y7 – Y9 students attended Science, Computer Science, Art and Maths sessions to fully investigate the crime and apply their STEAM skills in a creative and unusual setting.

From testing blood samples and fibres in science sessions to blood spatter analysis in mathematics, students were challenged, amazed and engaged in a day full of wonder and surprise.

While most of the KS3 students were busy trying to work out who attacked Mr. Gibbins, a small group of reporters had their first taste of journalism creating the ‘Park Lane Gazette’.
