The last Friday before the Easter holidays all the Y6 students in their Czech lesson (native speakers and CAL) had a go at decorating Easter eggs. Each student brought their own egg shells from home, which was already a challenge for students, as blowing the egg white and egg yolk out of the fragile shell is a tricky job!
As well as the egg-decorating workshop, the students watched a short film from a Moravian village where the most beautiful “kraslice” come from. Teachers and students discussed Easter traditions, typical for the Czech Republic as well as other countries and cultures, as well as writing their own Easter story.
