In one of the last Biology lessons of this academic year, Ms. Beven and Ms. Brandwood challenged their Y10 biology groups to dig deeper and cut their way through some inner organs. This time our students learned about the respiratory system by having a hands-on demonstration of beef lungs inflated by an air pump and about the blood circulatory system by dissecting turkey hearts and arteries. This anatomy lesson helps the students vizualize how these organs perform their tasks in our bodies while improving their manual skills and comprehension of scientific protocols as well.
