At Park Lane International School, we take pride in offering a variety of scholarship programmes for both external and internal applicants, supporting talented students in reaching their full potential.

IB Diploma Scholarships

The IB DP scholarship programme for academically-gifted secondary school students is offered to students wishing to join the IB Diploma Programme, which begins in Year 12 (16-17).

External applications are also considered in accordance with the following procedures.

Description

Applicants are chosen through a challenging selection process which tests English and mathematical ability as well as logic and reasoning skills, and the applicant’s personal capacity to benefit from Park Lane’s learner-centred pedagogy. The selection committee, led by the school principal, assesses each applicant’s school records for the last two years and conducts interviews with the candidate and his / her parents.
All students wishing to join the IB Diploma Programme must provide evidence of their readiness to embark on this academically rigorous programme of study.
Applicants are required to take entrance examinations (English, Mathematics and aptitude tests), must provide school reports for their studies and a motivation letter.
Students who excel in the entry tests, and those who are able to demonstrate a strong record of success with IGCSE, GCSE or an equivalent programme in another school system, will be eligible for scholarships.

KS3 Scholarships for external candidates

External students applying for Year 7 (applicants 10 – 11 y.o) can apply for a scholarship solely based on their entrance exam results.

KS4 Scholarships for external candidates

In exceptional cases, we may consider external candidates for our scholarship programme if they wish to join Park Lane for the IGCSE programme (applicants 13 – 14 y.o) .

In all cases, applicants must complete a two-round selection process, which includes:

Entrance exams
An interview
Submission of a strong motivation letter
School reports or other relevant certificates

KS3 Scholarships for internal candidates

Our scholarship scheme for internal candidates is aimed at academically gifted students joining Park Lane’s Year 7 in September.

IB scholarships for internal candidates

Members of Park Lane’s Year 11 cohort are also eligible for KS5/ IBDP Scholarships for Academic Excellence.

Qualification is dependent upon reaching an exceptionally high standard at IGCSE level, matching or exceeding the standards set by previous recipients of Park Lane’s internal scholarship awards for students transitioning from Year 11 to Year 12.
